Today, the International Kurash Association (IKA) participated in an online meeting with TAFISA (The Association for International Sport for All). The event was attended by TAFISA General Secretary Mr. Jean-François Laurent and representatives from the organization’s headquarters.

The meeting discussed in detail the procedure for joining TAFISA, membership fees, and rules, as well as the opportunities that membership provides to international sports organizations. Another important topic on the agenda was an exchange of views on the role of women in sport, gender equality, and inclusive policies.

The online meeting was attended by representatives of a number of international sports federations: dance sport, frisbee, jiu-jitsu, boules, bodybuilding, cycling, and others.

IKA General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri emphasized IKA’s readiness to strengthen cooperation with TAFISA and raise the prestige of Kurash in the worldwide sports community. TAFISA brings together more than 380 member organizations from over 170 countries, promoting physical activity and the principle of “Sport for All,” which creates an important international platform for the IKA.

This meeting was an important step towards expanding opportunities for active interaction between the International Kurash Association and the global sports movement and further integrating Kurash as a traditional sport into international sports programs.
