Today, in Tashkent, the General Secretary of the International Kurash Association (IKA), Mohammad Reza Nassiri Nejad, and the Head of the IKA Administration, Mansur Mirzaev, held a meeting with Lisa Getz, a representative of the International Testing Agency (ITA).

The discussions mainly focused on creating a fair and clean competition environment in Kurash, strengthening anti-doping measures, and expanding educational programs for athletes.

Over the past two years, the collaboration between IKA and ITA has developed significantly. Last year alone, more than 10 anti-doping seminars were organized, conducted both online and offline.

A particularly significant initiative was the five-week anti-doping education program held in September and October. During these webinars, over 3,000 Kurash specialists from more than 70 countries had the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills in anti-doping practices.

During the meeting in Tashkent, IKA and ITA discussed continuing their collaboration in the coming year and elevating it to a new level.

Key discussion areas:

• Improving the doping control and testing system
• Expanding anti-doping educational programs for Kurash athletes
• Promoting clean sport principles on a global scale

The IKA General Secretary emphasized once again that ensuring fair, honest, and doping-free competition among athletes remains one of the organization’s top priorities. These efforts will contribute to further strengthening the International reputation of Kurash in the future.
