On August 26, Kurash International Institute held international referee online seminar for Chinese-speaking countries. Referees of the Kurash Federations of China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong and Macau participated in this event.
The purpose of this international referee seminar was to hold kurash competitions at the highest level during XIX Summer Asian Games in Hangzhou in China, which will be held in 2023.
During seminar, which was held under the leadership of IKA Secretary General, Technical Director, Head of IKA Scientific Department Mohammad Reza Nassiri, IKI Teaching Professor, international qualified referee Kim Eur Jung and Head of the International Department Anna Ulanova, chinese speaking experts Kai Feng and Ajmal Ishaq Zaia video presentation about kurash performance was demonstrated as well as explanations and necessary instructions on the refereeing rules were given.
Hiao Lu Hu, a specialist of the Kurash department of the Organizing committee of the 19th Summer Asian Games, took part in an online seminar and exchanged his opinions.
Reza Nassiri: Today, during international online seminar on refereeing, which was organized for the first time in cooperation with IKI and IKA, we helped our Chinese colleagues to master the rules of kurash. Therefore, each participant of the seminar will undoubtedly share his knowledge to others, and as a result, number of amateurs and specialists in kurash will increase more and more. Since our goal is to include kurash in the Olympic Games program in the future, it is important that we all should work hard and are constantly on the search.
Developing kurash in China is very crucial and strategical for IKA with high number of population and if we can persuade a few percent of the population to take part we are talking about Millions. We are also discussing with president of IKA Mr Farman to find a solution for Fast Tracking some of the referees from China so we can witness a few present during the up coming Asian Games Next year.
Kim Eur Jung: We are pleased with the fact that such terms as «kurash», «halol», «tazim», «tukhta» and «yonbosh» have firmly taken their place in the international sports dictionary. We, kurash specialists are trying to popularize these terms, rules about kurash in all corners of the world. This year, International Kurash Institute held several offline and online international seminars on kurash for referees. It should be noted that such seminars take an important place not only in the effective conduct of the institute’s activities, but also in the professional development of coaches and referees in kurash.
Kai Feng Chang: China is a big state and many types of martial arts has beeb developing here. Kurash, on the other hand, is becoming more and more famous and popular as a new sport. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly organize such training seminars. This, in turn, will facilitate to increase the attention to kurash among the Chinese, increasing the number of athletes and kurash specialists.
For information, this year International Kurash Association together with the International Kurash Institute organized 10 different online and offline seminars.
It should be noted that under the leadership of the President of International Kurash Association Mr. Haidar Farman, it is planned to regularly organize numerous refereeing and coaching seminars for National kurash federations in order to train and retrain specialists, coaches, referees, managers and instructors who meet the requirements of today.
