The Kurash competitions held as part of the 6th World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan’s Issyk-Kul Region were organized at a high level and concluded with intense and fiercely contested matches.

In the +90 kg weight category, representatives of 22 countries competed for the title. In the decisive final match, Uzbekistan’s Nomonjon Radjabov defeated experienced Iranian athlete Sadegh Azarang, winner of the 19th Asian Games in Kurash, by a narrow margin, earning the prestigious title of champion of the 6th World Nomad Games.

The bronze medals went to Turkmenistan’s Ylham Kemelov and host nation Kyrgyzstan’s athlete Telek Kurolov. Notably, Telek Kurolov was also the winner of the 3rd World Nomad Games, held in Issyk-Kul in 2018.

The Kurash competitions at the 6th World Nomad Games brought athletes from different countries of the world together around a single Gilam, once again demonstrating the sport’s rich heritage, high values, and international significance.
