On the occasion of the 35th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, I extend my sincere congratulations to you on behalf of the International Kurash Association (IKA) and personally on my own behalf.
Over the years of independence, Uzbekistan has achieved remarkable progress, while its international reputation and standing have continued to grow stronger. It is thanks to independence that Kurash, our national heritage, has been revived and transformed into an international sport, now practiced in more than 100 countries and bringing together millions of sports enthusiasts around the world.
In these achievements, the outstanding contribution of His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Honorary President of the International Kurash Association, in supporting Kurash and promoting its development at the international level deserves our highest recognition and appreciation.
Today, the Kurash family proudly continues to carry the noble values of Uzbekistan—peace, friendship, mutual respect, unity, and cooperation—to every corner of the world.
On this auspicious and historic occasion, I wish the people of Uzbekistan peace, prosperity, happiness, and continued development, and I wish the entire Kurash family around the world new achievements, greater success, and many more victories.
