In accordance with the official annual calendar plan of the International Kurash Association and the Kurash Confederation of Asia, the “ISSYK-KUL 2026” International Training Camp will be held from July 27 to August 10, 2026, in the unique natural setting of the Kyrgyz Republic — the Issyk-Kul region.
Recognized as one of the most beautiful and unique areas in Central Asia, Issyk-Kul, with its crystal-clear mountain air, mild lakeside climate, and green forests, is considered an ideal location for the physical and functional preparation of athletes. This natural environment, situated at a high altitude above sea level, plays a crucial role in enhancing athletes’ endurance, recovery, and achieving peak sports form.
This international camp has been organized regularly since 2023 and, within a short period, has become one of the most prestigious training camps on the world Kurash calendar. Notably, nearly 95 percent of the national teams that participated in previous Issyk-Kul camps have won medals at the Asian Games, World Championships, and other major international competitions.
The “ISSYK-KUL 2026” international camp will serve as one of the important preparation stages for athletes ahead of prestigious competitions this year, such as the XX Asian Games in Japan, the CISM World Military Kurash Challenge, the VI World Nomad Games, as well as the World Senior Kurash Championships.
The camp will feature high-level international sparring sessions, special physical training workouts, tactical-technical gatherings, and experience exchange processes among athletes from different countries.
The International Kurash Association requests the active participation of all IKA member national federations in this camp.
Participating national federations are requested to submit their applications and participant information by July 15, 2026 (July 10 for countries requiring a visa).
