Antalya, Turkey, April 4, 2026 — International Kurash Association (IKA) General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri is actively participating in the parallel sessions of the 8th Ethnosport Forum.

The parallel sessions of the forum, held on April 4, focused on strengthening the foundations for the future of Ethnosport 2027. They brought together international experts, stakeholders and representatives of organisations to discuss ways to ensure the global growth of traditional sports while preserving their cultural authenticity.

The three strategic parallel sessions focused on the following areas:

1. Organisation and Governance — A strong governance structure, integrated systems, security, medical services, logistics and sustainability for Ethnosport 2027 were discussed. Participants emphasised the need to create an effective governance model under the leadership of the World Ethnosport Union (WEU).

2. Sports and competition system — Proposals were developed to standardise rules, ensure fairness, transparency and safety of athletes while respecting traditional values. Mechanisms of development of athletes from beginner to elite level were discussed.

3. Media, Marketing and Communications — Defined ways to increase Ethnosport’s international profile through global marketing strategies, sponsorships, broadcast opportunities and fan engagement.

At the end of the sessions, discussion conclusions, main decisions and a practical road map were formed. These results will be a solid foundation for the strategic development of Ethnosport 2027 and further strengthen the position of traditional sports as a world platform.
