The Asian Kurash Championship for seniors, cadets and juniors is just few days away. There are only two weeks left until the start of this prestigious competition, which will be held in the city of Goesan, Republic of Korea.

Currently, the organising committee is actively working on visa processing, hotel accommodations, and logistics for nearly 600 athletes and officials participating in the championship.

However, due to the complex geopolitical situation worldwide, the participation of some national teams particularly Iran and Afghanistan is at risk.

It is known that as a result of military tensions between Iran and Israel, the activities of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Tehran were temporarily suspended. Although the embassy has already resumed its work, the process of obtaining a visa is still taking some time.

Similarly, the absence of a South Korean embassy in Afghanistan has further complicated the visa application process for athletes from the country.

The organising committee is closely collaborating with South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic missions abroad to expedite visa approvals for participants within the short remaining timeframe.
