On May 28–29, 2025, Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, will host the 4th National Kurash Championship. The competition will take place at the Multi-Martial Arts Center (MMAC) in Nayabazar.
Held under the slogan “Sports for Health, Sports for the Nation,” this prestigious championship is expected to bring together the best athletes from various regions of Nepal.
The main goal of the championship is to promote a healthy lifestyle among the youth and enhance the potential of national athletes. Organisers emphasize that Kurash not only develops physical strength but also fosters spiritual maturity.
Set against the backdrop of Nepal’s sacred mountains and ancient architectural monuments, this event beautifully combines the elegance and power of Kurash, serving as a bridge between traditional and modern values.
Ahead of the championship, the International Kurash Association released a video message from Secretary-General Mohammad Reza Nassiri and Technical Director Ravi Kapoor, addressed to participants and organizers.
