A meeting was organized between the President of the International Kurash Association Haider Farman, the President of the Asian Kurash Confederation Komil Ruziev and the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs of Iran Kioumars Hashemi in the meeting hall of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
At the meeting, IKA President Haider Farman thanked Mr. Hashemi for his warm welcome.
He expressed his condolences on the death of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mr.Ebrahim Raisi and the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
He noted that he has known Mr. Hashemi for many years, and that under his leadership, the country’s athletes in all sports are achieving high levels of success in Iran.
Iranian Kurash athletes are recognized as one of the strongest teams in the world.
He appreciated his great services in organizing and holding the 13th Asian Championship.
In his place, Mr. Hashemi expressed his gratitude to the President of the International Kurash Association, Mr. Haider Farman, and the President of the Asian Kurash Confederation, Komil Ruziev, for their trust in the Islamic Republic of Iran in holding the Asian Championship.
He declared that Kurash is becoming one of the most popular sports in Iran as a true humane and fair sport.
He informed that Iranian athletes are presented with the most medals in the Asian Games, continental and world championships from the sport of Kurash.
The government of the country stated that it is always interested in the development of Kurash and that these activities will continue.
Also, Mr. Hashemi announced at the recently held meeting with the participation of the sport ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization that it is planned to organize sport games between the member states of the organization in the future.
He noted that the Iranian government is ready to support if Uzbekistan, as the homeland of Kurash, invites Kurash to the program of the Games.
In order to improve the training of Iranian Kurash athletes, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs of Iran has announced that the activity of a Kurash center with all conditions has been launched in the North Khorasan region.
In the future, it was recognized that the center is ready for cooperation in organizing International seminars and training sessions.
At the meeting, President of the Asian Kurash Confederation Komil Ruziev thanked the Minister for the preparations for the Asian Championship. The 13th Asian Championship, which was attended by more than 200 participants from 20 countries, expressed their belief that it will go down in the history of Kurash as one of the best championships.
Also at this meeting were Vice President of IKA Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov, General Secretary of IKA Mohammad Reza Nassiri, Head of Administration of IKA Mansur Mirzaev, General Secretary of KCA Farrukh Saidkulov, Technical Director of KCA Kourosh Khosrouyar, President of the Iranian Wushu Federation, Head of the Organizing Committee Amir Sedighi, the Ministry of Sport of Iran and media representatives participated.
