Today, a working meeting was held at the Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Martial Arts Sports Complex in Astana to review preparations for the successful organization and staging of the XV World Kurash Championships.
The meeting was attended by Ravi Kapoor, Technical Director of the International Kurash Association (IKA); Mansur Mirzaev, Head of Administration; Juan Da Wei, Member of the Sports Commission; Farid Mirzaakbarov, Expert of the International Relations Department; Saken Kaliyev, General Secretary of the Kazakhstan Kurash Federation; and Yerken Alzhanov, representative of the World Championships Organizing Committee.
The meeting discussed the competition venues, the placement of Kurash Gilam and referees, changing rooms for athletes, award podiums, and VIP zones. The entry and exit routes for athletes were also reviewed.
IKA Technical Director Ravi Kapoor provided relevant instructions regarding referee positioning and the arrangements needed to ensure appropriate conditions for them.
Juan Dae Wei, Member of the Sports Commission, presented proposals and recommendations concerning the athletes’ warm-up area, entry and exit routes to and from this area, television placement, and the positioning of tables for referees.
