Today, the Acting President of the International Kurash Association (IKA) Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov held an online meeting with President of the Kazakhstan Kurash Federation Andrey Borgens. During the meeting, he was briefed on the preparations for the World Kurash Senior Championships.

Andrey Borgens provided a detailed update on the ongoing organisational work for the competition. He noted that a professional company with extensive experience in delivering major international sporting events in Kazakhstan has been engaged to organise and conduct the World Championships.

It was noted that the company has successfully organised the VI World Nomad Games, Judo Grand Prix tournaments and a number of other prestigious international sporting events.

The 15th World Kurash Senior Championship will be held in Astana from November 4 to 9 of this year. With almost two months left until the start of the prestigious competition, the parties discussed in detail the progress of preparations.

Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov emphasised that ensuring the World Championship is delivered to a high organisational standard is one of the key priorities of the International Kurash Association. He stressed the importance of paying close attention to every aspect of the preparations. He also stated that the IKA Headquarters and its specialists are ready to provide continuous practical support in all organisational matters.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange views on strengthening cooperation to ensure that the World Championships are organised in accordance with international standards and delivered at the highest possible level.
