Acting President of the International Kurash Association, Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov, held an online meeting with the IKA Technical Director and Chairman of the Referees Committee, Ravi Kapoor. During the meeting, the IKA Technical Director presented a report on the technical preparation of international competitions and further improvement of the refereeing system.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the preparations for the 2026 Asian Games. In this regard, Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov tasked Ravi Kapoor with forming the list of candidates for International Technical Officials (ITOs) who are planned to work at the Asian Games and submitting it to the IKA leadership in the prescribed order.
The online meeting was attended by the IKA General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri, Head of the IKA Administration Mansur Mirzaev, IKA Advisor Umid Yakubov, as well as staff members of the International Relations and Media Department.
The parties also emphasised that organising technical management and refereeing at international competitions based on high standards will serve to further strengthen Kurash prestige on the international stage.
