A “Maharashtra State Beach Kurash Championship 2025–2026” competition was held in the Indian state of Maharashtra to further popularize Kurash and promote it among the youth.
The championship was organized in the Sangli district of Maharashtra state and was attended by over 450 athletes from across the state.
The competition was held in all weight categories, featuring contests among boys and girls in the cadets, juniors, children, and seniors.
It is noteworthy that this championship has been held annually in a traditional manner since 2018, serving to further develop the beach variant of the sport of Kurash within the Maharashtra region.
