Today, January 24, on the initiative of the International Kurash Institute, an international online seminar was organized to further improve the health care system for Kurash athletes.

The event, dedicated to the topic “Anti-doping rules and important instructions in Kurash, sports injuries and sports medicine”, was attended by the President of the International Kurash Association (IKA) Mr. Haider Farman, Thomas Dunker IKA Vice President, Ravi Kapoor IKA Technical Director Rector of the International Kurash Institute, Chairman of the Education Committee of the IKA Mr. Khabibulla Tadjiev, General Secretary of the IKA Mr. Reza Nassiri, Head of the IKA Administration Mr. Mansur Mirzaev, as well as more than one hundred and fifty specialists from the World Kurash Federations, qualified coaches, referees and experts in the field of sports medicine.

The seminar, held on the ZOOM platform, was dedicated to strengthening the principles of integrity in sport, strict compliance with anti-doping requirements and the introduction of modern achievements of sports medicine in the practice of Kurash.

In his report, an expert from the International Kurash Institute, Dr. Santosh Teli (India), gave a detailed presentation on the new rules approved by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) for 2026, news about the list of prohibited substances and current aspects of improving the anti-doping culture among athletes. The legal and organizational basis of anti-doping control at international competitions was also explained in detail.

Antoni Malkov, an expert in the field of professional sports medicine, doctor of RSTIAM under the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, shared his best practices in minimizing the risk of injuries during physical training of Kurash athletes, in particular, in the prevention of specific injuries related to the knee and shoulder joints, as well as modern rehabilitation methods.

During the interactive seminar, the participants received clear and practical recommendations from specialists on complex situations encountered in their practice.
