An extraordinary meeting was held in Singapore with the participation of the country’s Sports Authority and the Singapore Kurash Federation. The meeting reorganized the executive committee of the federation.
Mr. Tan Chee Kong, who has been the President of the Federation for many years, was thanked for his effective work.
Mr. Lim Alvin, who has many years of experience in International finance and management and previously served as General Secretary of the Federation, was elected President of the Singapore Kurash Federation by a casting vote.
Under the new structure, Muhammad Azfar bin Ali took over as General Secretary of the Federation.
The new logo of the Federation was also officially approved at the meeting. During the discussion, priority tasks were outlined for further development of Kurash in Singapore, regular organization of national championships, and participation of the national team in International competitions.
The International Kurash Association and the World Kurash Family congratulate the new leadership of the Singapore Kurash Federation and wish them success in their activities.
