From July 31 to August 3, the Pan American Kurash Championships for Seniors, Juniors, and Cadets are being held in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic. The prestigious event has brought together the continent’s strongest Kurash athletes on one stage and plays an important role in the development of Kurash throughout the Americas.
The Pan American Beach Kurash Championships, included in the championship programme, were held at a tourist complex located on Boca Chica Beach. The competitions were jointly attended by Acting IKA President Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov and PKU President Jaime Casanova.
The Beach Kurash competitions featured nearly 100 athletes from around 15 countries across the continent and were marked by intense and highly competitive contests. At the conclusion of the event, the champions and medalists were honoured with diplomas, medals, and commemorative gifts during the official award ceremony.
As part of the visit, Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov is also scheduled to hold a series of official meetings with the leadership of Centro Caribe Sports and representatives of the Organising Committee of the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games.
