
Acting President of the International Kurash Association (IKA) Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov held an online meeting with Tsui Fang Chang, Director for Equality in Sport at the International Kurash Association.
The meeting was attended by Mansur Mirzaev, Head of the IKA Administration, Umid Yakubov, IKA Advisor, and members of the IKA Administration.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the broader integration of the principles of equality in sport into the activities of the IKA, the implementation of initiatives aligned with international standards in this field, and measures aimed at further enhancing the organisation’s prestige.
Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov instructed that a presentation be prepared for the upcoming Directing Committee meeting and IKA Congress, containing specific proposals and initiatives aimed at further advancing the Equality in Sport agenda. It was emphasised that equality in sport is increasingly becoming one of the key priorities on the agenda of international sports organisations, alongside anti-doping policy. In this regard, it was noted that it is important for the IKA to continue enhancing its activities in line with modern global trends.
In addition, taking into account Tsui Fang Chang’s activities within the Chinese Taipei Kurash Federation, the participants discussed the possibility of organising several international and regional tournaments throughout the year to promote Kurash across the region.
Furthermore, the Chinese Taipei Kurash Federation and local organisations expressed their readiness to continue close cooperation with the International Kurash Association in promoting the development and popularisation of Kurash throughout the region.
