The first day of competitions at the XV Asian Senior Kurash Championship, taking place in the capital of the Republic of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, has concluded.
Throughout the day, medal contests were held in the men’s -60 kg, -66 kg, -73 kg, and -81 kg weight categories, and in the women’s -70 kg, -78 kg, -87 kg, and +87 kg weight categories.
Notably, the final matches featuring representatives of the host country Tajikistan and the homeland of Kurash, Uzbekistan, were conducted amidst the enthusiastic support and continuous applause of thousands of spectators.
Following contests marked by high skill, strong will, and uncompromising struggle, the names of the winners and medalists for the first day of the championship were announced.
The competitions of the XV Asian Championship will continue. On the second day of the championship, winners and medalists in another 8 weight categories will be determined, and the fight for the team championship title is expected to become even more intense.
