An international test competition in Kurash was successfully organized in Nagoya, Japan, ahead of the XX Summer Asian Games 2026. This tournament is regarded as an important stage for testing the organizational, technical, and operational processes for implementing the Kurash competitions included in the Asian Games program.

National teams from Japan, Thailand, Republic of Korea, Chinese Taipei, Vietnam, and several countries from South and Southeast Asia participated in the competition. The bouts were held in the weight categories according to the program of the 20th Asian Games: winners were determined in the -66 kg, -81 kg, and +90 kg weight categories for men, and the -57 kg, -78 kg, and +87 kg weight categories for women.

The test event was held in cooperation with the Organizing Committee of the 20th Asian Games, with the main focus on testing competition logistics, electronic management systems, refereeing processes, and overall operational mechanisms in real conditions.

During the two-day competition, the activities of the International Technical Officials (ITOs) were also tested in practice. This will serve to organize sports competitions to high standards within the framework of the upcoming Asian Games.

The competition processes were also observed by the IKA First Vice-President Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov, IKA Technical Director Ravi Kapoor, Mr Bae IKA Sports directot and the Head of IKA Administration Mansur Mirzaev took part in the organizational and technical processes of the tournament.
