On February 9, the Chinese Taipei Kurash Federation organised the official weight category qualifiers for the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan.
The main goal of the competition was to select the strongest, most technically sound and highly trained athletes and to identify candidates who will adequately defend the honor of the country at the Asian Games.
According to the results of the competitions, the three athletes with the best results in each weight category were selected. They will participate in three additional evaluation competitions scheduled for April. The athletes with the highest total points at the end of all stages will receive the right to participate as part of the Chinese Taipei national team at the 2026 Asian Games.
