Dear members of the World Kurash Family, dear friends!
The year 2025 will go down in Kurash history as an unforgettable one, rich in significant achievements and historic events. This year, Kurash reached a new level, not only as a sport but also as an international movement that embodies universal human values.
One of our most important achievements in 2025 was the official recognition of Kurash by the International Military Sports Council (CISM). Additionally, as part of the Islamic Solidarity Games, a Kurash demonstration competition was held, which attracted a lot of attention from the global sports community.
During the year, Kurash was included for the first time in the sports program of the Asian Youth Games held in Bahrain. In addition, about 30 international tournaments, continental championships, and ranking competitions were successfully organized on different continents and in different regions. These results clearly demonstrate the consistent development of Kurash on a global scale.
Even more responsible and honorable tasks await us ahead. Preparations for the World Seniors Championships in February 2026 are continuing at a rapid pace. In addition, Kurash’s participation in the World Juniors and Cadets Championships, scheduled for the end of the year, as well as in the 20th Asian Games in Japan, is particularly important for us.
These successes are the result of the joint efforts of federations, athletes, coaches, referees, partner organizations, and all those who sincerely believe in Kurash.
In this regard, I would like to express my deep gratitude to everyone who has been with Kurash, supported it, and worked for its development.
