The Ambassador’s Cup was held in Korea to celebrate Uzbekistan’s Independence Day

On September 13, the Korean Kurash Federation held the Ambassador’s Cup competition in Seoul to celebrate Uzbekistan’s Independence Day.

Approximately 200 Korean athletes and Uzbek students studying in Korea participated in the competition, demonstrating friendship and solidarity through Kurash.

The opening ceremony was attended by Alisher Abdusalomov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea, Kirom Salokhiddin, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Syed Moazzam H. Shah, as well as Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Thiam Alpha, Second Secretary of the Republic of Zambia Bright Simbaya, and President of the Korea Kurash Federation Bae Hyeongsik.

During the event, guests were able to enjoy not only Kurash competitions, but also Uzbek national art, songs, and dances, as well as Pilaf.
