
Since 2023, Uzbekistan has been successfully implementing the nationwide “Besh Tashabbus Olympiad” project aimed at promoting mass sports among youth and fostering their physical and intellectual development.
As part of this initiative, 13 sports competitions and 13 intellectual contests have been organized, engaging millions of young people across all regions of the country. The Olympiad involves amateur participants aged 13 to 30, with competitions held at , districts, cities, regions, and national levels.
Kurash is among the sports featured in the “Besh Tashabbus Olympiad” program. These competitions are held under the name of the General Prosecutor’s Cup of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This initiative not only highlights the importance of Kurash but also helps popularize the sport in every corner of the country.
In 2024, around 480,000 amateur athletes participated in these competitions, while in 2025, the number of participants reached 505,828.
From April to June, competitions were held at , districts, sectors, and regional levels, with winners qualifying for the national finals.
According to the project’s regulations, modern sports facilities will be built in the winners’ residential areas, while champions and prize-winners will be awarded diplomas, medals, and valuable prizes.
