July 21-23, 2025 in Paris – the center of world culture – will be held an International Kurash Tournament for the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The competition is organized jointly with the European Kurash Confederation, French and Uzbek Kurash Federations.
Paris, which hosted the Olympic Games last year, this time will gather the stars of Kurash world. The tournament becomes not only an arena of competitions, but also a symbol of friendship, mutual respect and cooperation between nations.
Athletes from all countries that are members of the International Kurash Association will take part in the competition. Two men and two women from each country will take part in the competition, and France, as the host country, will be able to present four athletes in each weight category.
The competitions will be held in the weight categories:
-90 kg and +90 kg for men,
-70 kg and +70 kg for women.
The winners will receive medals and certificates, and the total prize fund of the tournament is 30,000 euros.
The Organizing Committee will cover the costs of hotel accommodation and local transportation for the participants. If the delegation of each country will consist of 8 athletes and coaches, it is expected to pay additional funds for food expenses.
For information: Paris, known as the “City of Love”, is hosting this tournament for the third time. This competition, which has become traditional since 2022, was held in Rome in 2024 on the occasion of the Olympic Games.
