From June 10 to 24, 2025, an International Kurash training camp will be held in Kyrgyzstan’s scenic Issyk-Kul Valley. The event is jointly organized by the International Kurash Association (IKA), the Kurash Confederation of Asia, and the Kyrgyzstan Kurash Federation.
This training camp is part of the preparation efforts for the upcoming Asian Championship and the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games. It will offer participants a unique opportunity to train alongside some of the world’s top and most experienced Kurash athletes.
In Issyk-Kul, athletes will not only enhance their physical and technical capabilities but will also engage in valuable experience-sharing with elite international competitors. This experience is expected to contribute significantly to improved performance in future international competitions.
The effectiveness of the Issyk-Kul training camp is clearly demonstrated by the fact that 95% of the national federations that attended the 2023 edition of training camp went on to win medals at the Asian Summer Games and the World Championships.
Athletes and coaches from countries such as Uzbekistan, Iran, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Saudi Arabia, India, and others are expected to participate in this year’s training camp.
Set against the breathtaking natural backdrop of Issyk-Kul, training camp will offer more than just professional development — it will also provide an enriching environment for cultural exchange and the strengthening of international friendship and cooperation.
The training program will officially start on June 10 and finish on June 24.
Considering that the visa application process for entering Kyrgyzstan may take approximately 10 to 14 days, all participant applications must be submitted by May 25, 2025.
