After several meeting with the WSP Stakeholders and Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan It was decided to execute the 2025 WSP with the following amendments
NEW Amendments to WSP 2025
1. New Weights Categories: 2025
Men
-60,-66, -73, -81 -90, -100, -120,+120 kg
Women:
-48,-52,-57, -63,-70, -78, -87,+87 kg
In 2024 there were only 10 weight Cat.
2. The Prize Money is 155.000USD
Gold-5000 USD
Silver-2500 USD
Bronze-1000 USD (each)
This is given to ALL16 weight cat.
3. The first 4 Gold medalist from each continent (Asia, Europe, Pan-America and Africa) will be selected in this way automatically.
4. In each weight Category. (Note: ANY CATEGORY AT THE CONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIPS WHICH HAS LESS THAN 5 PEOPLE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SEND ANYBODY TO RANKING LIST FROM THAT WEIGHT CATEGORY WHERE THE MINIMIUM NUMBER OF ATHLETES IN EACH WEIGHT CATEGORY IS 5.)
5. PLEASE NOTE ONLY 1 (ONE) ATHLETE FROM 1 (ONE) COUNTRY CAN PARTICIPATE AT THE CONTINENTAL AND WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS CHAMPIONSHIPS IN EACH WEIGHT CATEGORY.
6. ANY ATHLETES WHO ARRIVES TO THE FINALS OF THE WSP AND DOSE NOT MEET THE WEIGHIN OR DOES NOT APPEAR FOR THE FIGHT, WILL BE FINED TO THE AMOUNT OF EXPENSE THEY HAVE CAUSED AND THIS AMOUNT WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM THE PRIZE MONEY OF OTHER COUNTRY MEMBERS PARTICIPATING, UNLESS THE FEDERATION OR THE PERSON IN QUESTION PAYS THE FINE
7. If there is a tie, for example two players have the same point at continental championships and from no other championships and one needs to qualify. We look at the draw if at the continental championships there are only 7 people participating and in the other continental championships are 8 people participating so the person where they had more people participating in the draw will qualify.
Points System
In World Senior Championships:
1- 1000 points
2- 700 points
3- 500 points
4- For participation 100 points
In Continental Senior Championships:
1- 500 points
2- 300 points
3- 200 points
4- For participation 50 points
International Championships:
1- 200 points
2- 100 points
3- 50 points
4- For participation 25 points
