Another important event is approaching on the Asian sports scene: the Asian Games 2026 in Japan. Kurash has also officially been included in the program of this prestigious competition.
For the International Kurash Association, the issue of training international technical officials (ITO) participating in the Asian Games has become one of the most important topics on the agenda. On this occasion, the IKA and the International Kurash Institute (IKI) will organise the next international seminar and exams in Tashkent as part of the “Road to Asian Games 2026” ranking program.
This is not an ordinary seminar. This is a global initiative to train the most qualified referees and technical officials in Kurash. Each participant will not only test their knowledge, but also get the opportunity to receive a globally recognised certificate. The most experienced ITOs in organising who will officiate at the Asian Games 2026 will also be selected at this seminar.
To participate in the seminar, you must:
– Be between 20 and 45 years old;
– be ablev to speak English well;
– have experience in organising Kurash competitions or organising sports events; and
– be physically fit.
This seminar is aimed at preparing participants in accordance with international standards.
At the end of the seminar, participants will take a theoretical and practical exam. Those who successfully pass this exam will receive an international certificate and be ranked and may participate as official ITOs in future major competitions. This is a great opportunity not only for professional growth, but also to find your place on the international stage.
We look forward to seeing you in Tashkent, the capital of the homeland of Kurash, on May 7-13, 2025.
Applications will be accepted until April 18, 2025 to the following e-mail address of the Technical Director of the International Kurash Association: td@kurash-ika.org.
Today, Kurash is a sport that is gaining more and more attention in the world arenas. Its high-level holding in international competitions depends on the training of qualified ITOs. The “Road to Asian Games 2026” seminar is one of the most important steps towards training such specialists. Being a part of this process is undoubtedly a great honor and responsibility for every Kurash specialist.
Along the way, someone will coach Kurash athletes, someone will control their matches, and someone will serve to organise Kurash matches at a high level.
If you are not indifferent to the future of Kurash and want to work on an international scale, this seminar is for you!
We are glad to see you among our ranks!
