The Philippine Kurash Federation, in collaboration with the Davao Province Kurash Association, has piloted the project “Kurash Sports Clinic”.
The project, which ran from February 28 to March 3, was held in Tagum, Davao and several other cities in Davao Province. The initiative turned into a true sports festival that brought together hundreds of athletes, coaches and martial arts enthusiasts.
The first day of the project was held at Robinson’s Place sports complex in Tagum City. Participants gained valuable knowledge from experienced Kurash professionals, watched interesting presentations, and had the opportunity to participate in practical training with the Philippine National Kurash Team.
With the support of Davao Kurash Association President Arline Javonillo and PSC Mindanao Sports Office Coordinator Noli Ayo, the project continued in many educational institutions and central sports facilities in the province.
Rolan Llamas, President of the Philippine Kurash Association:
“I would like to thank all the participants who joined us for the ‘Kurash Sports Clinic’ project! We hope you not only enjoyed Kurash, but also gained precious knowledge. We look forward to seeing you at the 1st Beach Kurash Competition in Davao City on March 21-22.
This event is organized by the Davao Kurash sport Association in partnership with the Philippine Kurash Federation. Together, we strive to further popularize Kurash in the Philippines, while creating an environment of learning, growth, and friendship for martial arts enthusiasts.”
