The Turkmen Senior Kurash championship was held at the sports complex of the University of Physical Education in Ashgabat. The competition, which brought together 162 talented athletes from all regions and cities of the country, was full of intense and uncompromising competition.
According to the General Secretary of the Turkmen Kurash Federation Ovez Attaliev, the federation and the State Committee for Physical Education and Sports have carried out extensive preparatory work to organize the championship at a high level.
According to the results of the competition held on February 9-10, winners and prize-winners were determined in all weight categories. Now they have won the right to defend the honor of the country in international competitions as part of the national team of Turkmenistan.
At the solemn closing ceremony of the competition, the champions and prize-winners were awarded medals, diplomas and valuable prizes.
In recent years, Turkmen Kurash athletes have been participating worthily in international competitions organized by the IKA and are within the IKA Ranking List.
