Mohammad Reza Nassiri, General Secretary of the International Kurash Association, has been awarded the title of “Honorary Professor” by the State University of Physical Culture and Sport of Uzbekistan.
During his career Mohammad Reza Nassiri made a great contribution to popularization of our favorite sport – Kurash in many countries of the world. During his career, he played an important role in organizing International Kurash competitions, attracting new countries to the Association and creating new opportunities for athletes.
The process of training Kurash specialists requires in-depth study of sports technique, tactics, physical and psychological training. The development of Kurash directly depends on sufficient training of Kurash specialists.
For the last 3 years, the International Kurash Association and the International Kurash Institute have been organizing seminars and advanced training courses for Kurash referees and coaches on the basis of a systematic program.
Extensive cooperation links have been established with higher education institutions specializing in the field of sport.
In 2021, a memorandum of cooperation was signed with the State University of Physical Education and Sports of Uzbekistan. Based on this agreement, more than 10 different events have been organized jointly with the university over the past period. This year, two three-month online training courses and final practical examinations were successfully organized.
Taking into account these achievements and great services to the development of Kurash sport, by the decision of the Scientific Council of the State University of Physical Culture and Sport of Uzbekistan, the General Secretary of the International Kurash Association Mohammad Reza Nassiri was awarded the title of Honorary Professor.
In his speech at the awarding ceremony, the General Secretary of the IKA expressed his gratitude for this award and noted that he is ready to show more enthusiasm in the future for further development of the Kurash sport, familiarizing the younger generation with it and raising its prestige on a worldwide level.
