The Kurash World Championship attracts the attention of thousands of Kurash fans around the world, our favorite sport is a bright event on the international stage.
The largest championship of this year, which was organized in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, ended today. The championship, which took place during the week, was rich in important and unique events.
The IX Kurash World Championship among cadets and juniors, as well as the III Kurash World Championship among veterans, are appreciated for contributing to the growth of the popularity of Kurash in the world sports arena.
On the last day of the competition, juniors and veterans went to gilam to win the highest title of world champion.
The competition day started with a junior competition.
More than 100 fights were held in 20 weight categories with the participation of the most famous Kurash athletes from more than 20 countries from all over the world, presented to the audience the full charm of the Kurash sport.
The main competitions were held with the participation of representatives of the Kurash homeland and the national team of the host country – Mongolia.
The competitions, which featured excellent Kurash techniques, revealed many talented athletes.
According to the results of the medal standings, the youth national team of Uzbekistan won 31 medals, of which 13 gold, 13 silver and 5 bronze, and took 1st place in the overall standings.
The athletes, of the hosts of competition, took second place with 3 gold, 1 silver, 11 bronze and 15 medals in the overall standings.
The third place went to the Turkish national team. They have one gold medal on their account.
Athletes from India, Turkmenistan, Greece, South Africa, Chinese Taipei, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan, China and Korea will also return home with World Cup medals.
