From September 19 to October 4, 2026, the Japanese city of Aichi-Nagoya will host the 20th Asian Summer Games.
There will be more than 40 sports competitions. It is notable that Kurash was officially included in the program of the 20th Asian Summer Games, held in the territory of Nihon (literally means “place where the sun rises”).
Athletes from 43 Asian countries will take part in the continental Olympics, held under the slogan “Imagine one Asia”.
By decision of the Olympic Council of Asia, representatives of Australia and New Zealand are also allowed to participate.
The country of Japan, which is hosting the Asian Summer Games for the third time, is making major preparations for the organization of the 2026 Games at the highest level.
Today the President of the Japanese Kurash Federation Hideo Kamaga visited the Headquarters of the International Kurash Association.
In conversation with the General Secretary of IKA Mohammad Reza Nassiri, many organizational and technical issues related to the organization and holding of Kurash competitions within the framework of the Asian Games were discussed.
The issue of holding International Kurash competitions as a test before the games was considered.
