On November 4, a general meeting was held in the Turkish Kurash Federation.
The work done during the past period and future plans were discussed.
In fact, in recent years, Kurash has been developing widely in Turkey. National championships among seniors, youth and juniors have been organized several times throughout the year.
Kurash federations and Kurash clubs are operating in all regions of the country.
This year, national championships and seminars were organized in 4 regions of the country.
On June 21-23, the city of Edirne hosted the European Kurash Championship.
Such achievements were recognised at the meeting. Proposals were made to eliminate the shortcomings.
Organizational issues were also discussed at the meeting.
Furkan Göltaş, a well-known athlete and vice-president of the Turkish Federation of Developing Sports Networks, was elected as the head of the Turkish Kurash Federation.
Also, Mehmet Shen was appointed as the Chief Coordinator, Baran Akpinar and Mirza Azimogli were appointed as representatives of international relations.
The new team will work in the country’s Kurash Federation until 2028 to bring Kurash to a new level.
