Last week, the Turkish city of Karaman hosted a major Kurash tournament.
The Senior National Kurash Championships and the National Seminars for Kurash Referees were in the spotlight.
From October 31 to November 1, the seminar of Kurash referees and the training course for candidate referees, which began at the New Karaman Hotel, brought together more than 30 experts.
Referees from different parts of Turkey had the opportunity to exchange theoretical knowledge and practical application of Kurash rules.
It should be noted that Kurash has been actively developing in the country in recent years.
The Turkish Kurash Championship is regularly held in various age categories.
The next days of the championship were full of real fierce competitions.
More than 100 Kurash athletes from 17 regions came to the Gilam as a team.
At first, the winners among women were determined. According to them: Bursa won the championship, Denizli won the second place, and the teams of the regions as Bilesik and Burdur took the third place.
On the second day of the championship, the competition between men’s teams continued with excitement! At the end of fierce and uncompromising competition, the Konya team won the championship.
Bilesik – second place, Kurash athletes from Bursa and Sakarya – had the third place.
