This year, the 9th World Cadet Junior, and III World Veterans Kurash Championship will go ahead in Mongolia as planned.
Since the World Cadet,Junior championship is being held after an 8-year break, it is necessary to organize it at a very high level.
To ensure the fulfillment of these requirements and conditions, the Head of the IKA Administration, Mansur Mirzaev, and the IKA Advisor on issues of strategic development of national federations, Elyor Mirzaev, are currently on a business trip to the capital of the Republic of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar.
On the first day of the trip, a meeting was held with the Chairman of the State Committee for Physical Education and Sports of the Republic of Mongolia, Osor Battulga.
At the meeting, Mr. Battulga mentioned that they were ready to host the World Cadet ,Junior, and Veterans Kurash Championship He noted that preparations are underway at the state level to organize and hold the championship at a high level. The International Kurash Association has requested permission to organize the IIIWorld Veterans Championship within the framework of this championship.
During the meeting, the Head of the IKA Administration, Mansur Mirzaev, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome. He mentioned that Kurash is not unfamiliar to the Mongolian people and that the 6th World Championship 2007 was held in Ulaanbaatar.
Mansur Mirzaev acknowledged that in recent years Mongolian Kurash athletes have been taking part in Continental and World championships, and this is an example of the attention paid to Kurash at the state level.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the State Committee for Physical Education and Sports of the Republic of Mongolia Osor Battulga signed an agreement to hold the 9th World Youth Championship and the 3rd World Championship among Veterans in Ulaanbaatar in the first week of December, this year.
On the second day of the trip, accompanied by the President of the Mongolian Kurash Federation, Ganbatar Begz, the Mongolian Martial Arts Sports Palace was checked, where championships will be held.
This complex was built in 1998 for Martial Arts and accommodates 3,000 spectators.
The complex has a Kurash arena with a diameter of 31 meters. Many Continental championships in judo, sambo, freestyle Greco-Roman wrestling, and Grand Prix competitions are organized on the territory of the complex.
