Kurash is one of the most humane sports that can be practiced from 7 to 70 years old, with minimal injuries.
Now people with disabilities will be able to practice Kurash.
At the moment, work in this direction is proceeding actively.
The issues of organizing and holding Para Kurash competitions are being discussed and tested
Initially, tests are being conducted for blind athletes.
Based on IBSA standards and requirements, rules for blind Kurash are being developed.
Today, a test training session was organized based on these rules.
At the Sagbon Kurash Complex of the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan, a working group led by IKA General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri tested the technical and tactical aspects of special Kurash competitions.
Head of the IKA Administration, Mansur Mirzaev, IKA Advisor on issues of strategic development, Elyor Mirzaev, representatives of the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan Khikmat Kurtov, Sirojiddin Choriev, Rizomat Soliev, Olim Ravshanov and other Kurash specialists took part in the training.
During the testing process, according to International standards, the blind were classified as CLASS 1 and CLASS 2.
From these classifications, no major changes will be made to the rules of Kurash, there may be some adoption to be compatiable to the classes mentioned.
This changes includes as to how referees are bringing Kurash athletes on and off the Gilam, hold and announce scores and warnings in addition to the appropriate signals.
Many more such technical cases were discussed during the trial.
The IKA General Secretary said that the testing process will be carried out in several more stages and we are open to suggestions from Kurash exprts who may have knowledge to contribute towards this project , and the final version may be considered at the IKA congress for approval.
