On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 5th World Nomad Games and personally, I would like to express my gratitude to the International Kurash Association for their great support in including Kurash in the Games’ program and organizing it at a high level.
The World Nomad Games would not be complete without kurash matches. That’s why we added more weight categories to the kurash competitions at our games in Astana. This was 2 times more than in the previous Games. This is a sign of respect and appreciation for the popularity of Kurash. Kurash competitions, a significant part of the 5th World Nomad Games, should be recognized as the Games’ decoration, a testament to the global promotion of this traditional sport.
We are glad that among the strong Kurash athletes, Kazakh kurash athletes also won one gold medal. This is an excellent success for our team.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the participants for attending this great holiday of the Turkic people. Your presence and participation have not only made the 5th World Nomad Games a success but also contributed to the preservation and promotion of the nomadic way of life since ancient times.
I would like to acknowledge one more thing: athletes from Uzbekistan, the homeland of Kurash, have shown that they are leaders not only in Kurash but also in other sports.
We witnessed that Uzbek athletes recorded the highest results at the Paris Olympics.

Director of 5th World Nomad Games
