The 5th World Nomad Games are coming to an end. Today, the Games hosted final competitions in many sports.
The final stage of the Games and the closing ceremony will be held on September 13.
Today, the last day of Kurash competitions was held at the Alau Sports Complex.
In 4 weight categories, men’s – 60 kg, -66 kg, -73 kg and women’s -57 kg went out to the Gilam for victory.
The competitions, in which more than 50 Kurash athletes took part, were fierce and uncompromising.
Especially among women, the representative of the hosts Tolganay Abeuova defeated the strongest rivals from Uzbekistan, Iran and Russia before the final. In the final, another experienced Kurash athlete, silver medalist of the Asian Games Pincky Balhara from India, did not pass the test. Tolganay, who organized fierce attacks until the last seconds, eventually suffered a defeat with a small advantage.
In the men’s competition, the representatives of the homeland of Kurash were lucky.
In the final of 3 weight categories among men, the Uzbek Kurash athletes also competed with the hosts.
The unceasing support of the spectators gave the final a special atmosphere.
In the end, they demonstrated their experience. The current Asian champion Murodil Murodilloev in the weight category -60 kg, Otabek Khasanov in the category -66 kg and Jamshid Yuldoshev in the category -73 kg won the gold medal of the 5th World Nomad Games.
This result ensured the leadership of the National Team of Uzbekistan in the accumulation of medals.
The Uzbek Kurash athletes, who took first place in the team standings, will return home with six medals, including five gold and one silver.
The second place went to the hosted team. In total, they have 13 medals: 1 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze medals.
The third place was won by the Indian team. They have 3: 1 gold and 2 bronze medals.
Kurash athletes from countries such as Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Moldova, Russia, China and Iran won medals at the 5th World Nomad Games.
The winners were awarded cash prizes (1st place 500,000, 2nd place 300,000, 3rd place 200,000 tenge), established by the Organizing Committee of the Games.
According to the Organizing Committee, in 2 years the 6th World Nomad Games will be hosted by the city of Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan.
