On the occasion of the 26th Anniversary of the International Kurash Association and World Kurash Day, the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, by the recommendation of the Uzbekistan Kurash Federation, issued an order to award outstanding people who have set a special example in the fields of physical education and sports.
The “Sports Excellence medal of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was awarded to Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov, Vice President of the International Kurash Association, and Mohammad Reza Nassiri, General Secretary of the IKA.
It is important to note that this award is given to people who have served and contributed to sport development and dedicated themselves to sport development in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Deputy Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shakhrulla Makhmudov, had the honor of presenting the prestigious medals at the headquarters of the International Kurash Association on 6th September 2024, underscoring the government’s commitment to sports development.
It’s the first time in the History of Uzbekistan sports that an Iranian citizen has won this medal.
