Today, a meeting was held at the Headquarters of the International Kurash Association to prepare for the 26th anniversary of the IKA.
The event was attended by IKA Vice President on General matters, Dr. Professor Sherzodkhon Qudratkhodja, Vice President on International collaboration and Games Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov, IKA General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri, Head of the IKA Administration Mansur Mirzayev, as well as all employees of the International Kurash Association.
This year marks the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the International Kurash Association.
It was noted that celebrating World Kurash Day on September 6 is one of the most important tasks of the World Kurash Family.
Kurash is the oldest and greatest sport – Sherzodkhan Qudrathodja said that Kurash is 3 thousand years old. It is inextricably linked with the culture, history and values of Central Asia and especially the Uzbek people.
For 26 years, this sport has been developing as an International sport in more than 100 countries.
The promotion of big-time sport should also be worthy of this, – said the IKA Vice President. The IKA Media Department will work on a new concept. A series of videos demonstrating and exploiting the values, history and of Kurash will be filmed and shown on the TV channels “Renessans TV of Uzbekistan”, “Mening Yurtim”, “Uzreport” and state TV channels within the framework of UzMTRK.
It was announced that all opportunities will be used in this regard to show Kurash image at its best.
It was also noted that new modern standards will be introduced in the organization and holding of International competitions. It was mentioned that it is impossible to work in the old way; it is necessary to organize work based on modern methods.
During the meeting, IKA General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri also spoke, expressing his opinion on the organization of upcoming events at a high level.
Following the meeting, officials were given relevant instructions.
