The Kingdom of Eswatini (former Swaziland) is an ancient and beautiful State located in South Africa.
The kingdom’s beautiful nature and temperate climate, located near the shores of the Indian Ocean, have always interested world tourists.
Kurash Federation operates in this country with a population of about 2 million.
In 2015, about 20 Eswatini Kurash athletes from the International Kurash Association and the African Kurash Union held a two-week training camp in Uzbekistan.
The Federation has regularly participated in continental and international Kurash competitions.
From 26 to 29 July, this country hosted the 20th African Championship.
During the continental championship, the next Congress of the African Kurash Union, seminars on Kurash refereeing and coaching were organized.
More than 100 of the best Kurash athletes from about 15 countries of the continent competed in the Kurash competitions.
The results were known after the two days of competitions, and according to the competition results, the Egypt Kurash Federation was considered the best medal collector.
Egyptian Kurash athletes have won 6 gold and 1 silver medals in total.
Basel Eldeeb, who won the 2023 African Championship and was considered the winner in the category “the best usul owner in the world”, also won the continental Championship this time.
Winners were awarded valuable ranking points, which will enable them to participate in the Finals of the WSP (World Series Pro).
