Kurash is one of our millennial values. 30 million people in the world and 30 thousand people in Uzbekistan are doing it professionally. And the number of amateur Kurash athletes is even more.
In order to further increase the number and quality of Kurash athletes, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan decided on June 25, 2024 “On measures to organize the activities of Kurash schools”.
Based on the decision, it is planned to establish Kurash schools in each regional center of Uzbekistan.
140 students study in each vocational school. They will be selected from among the children of the 5th-11th grade.
It is reflected in the decision that the director, coaches and other employees in the status of leaders and employees of existing sport schools in Uzbekistan will be paid from the state budget.
