The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Affairs Organization Unesco and the International Center of Martial Arts ICM (South Korea) for Youth Development and Involvement in Martial Arts, a new project on the preparation of Kurash training manuals, has been launched.
This project is implemented with the support of the National Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan on UNESCO.
Within the framework of the project, a training manual on the history, theory, Usul and technical aspects of Kurash will be prepared and published in Uzbek, English and Korean languages.
Academicians of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, professors of the State University of Physical Education and Sports of Uzbekistan, experienced practical and theoretical scientists and experts were involved in the project.
Jamshid Namozov, the Press Secretary of the International Kurash Association, and Kim Eur Joong, the Head of the Training Department of the International Kurash Institute, will prepare manuals and participate as data processing experts within this project.
Currently, a cooperation agreement is being signed between the International Kurash Institute and ICM.
According to the agreement, the training manuals are planned to be completed and published by November.
All costs related to the preparation and publication of the manuals are to be financed by ICM.
