The story of kurash in Iran comes to an end on the final day of championships . With a beautiful ending , as in all fairy tales.
For more than 200 participants from about 20 countries who visited Tehran, the 13th Asian Championship will undoubtedly be remembered with bright and beautiful memories.
Today, the “Azadi” Sport Complex was filled with cheers (roaring) of fans, just like the Colosseum. The exit of each Kurash athlete was as uncompromising and interesting as a fight of gladiators.
At the end of the competition, the representatives of Kurash homeland won the lead in terms of collecting medals. They have 5 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals.
On the 2nd place are the representatives of the hosts. Iranian Kurash athletes were awarded 1 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze medals today.
With 1 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals, Tajik Kurash athletes took third place overall.
Kurash athletes from Iraq, Turkmenistan, and Afghanistan will also return home with Asian Championship medals.
