The creative team of the Fights Academy platform, led by the author of many films about Martial Arts, Muhammad Zoubi, spent a week in the homeland of Kurash.
The main purpose of the visit is to shoot 3 films about Kurash and its rules, traditions and history.
The first 3 days of filming were organized in the city of Samarkand. First of all, the Kurash athletes’ skill lessons and execution of techniques were filmed from the angle of the Registan ensemble, Tillakori and other historical buildings.
Interviews were conducted with historians and Kurash experts about the Great Silk Road, its influence on the territory of ancient Uzbekistan, and the historical processes of the sport of Kurash in those times.
In the filming process that continued in Tashkent, Mukhsin Khisomiddinov, the 5-time world champion in Kurash, the winner of the Asian Games, the Asian champion, and the legend of Kurash, took part.
A usual day of the champion, the training process and everyday life were filmed during the day. The Headquarters of the International Kurash Association, Chorsu market, Minova and Khoja Akhror Vali mosques, as well as notable locations of Tashkent city were chosen as the objects of filming.
During the Kurash training, Mukhsin Khisomiddinov informed Muhammad Zoubi and the film audience about several Kurash techniques. Methods were demonstrated in practice.
The last day of filming took place in Angren, 100 km from Tashkent.
It is in the city of Angren where the national Kurash team of Uzbekistan is conducting training sessions.
The training of the national team, execution of tricks and Kurash techniques were filmed during the day.
Also, a challenge was organized between the author of the film Muhammad Zoubi and the Kurash athletes of the national team.
Muhammad Zoubi, who tried his hand at it with several athletes, admitted that Kurash is the most wonderful and noble sport.
Films about Kurash are scheduled to be broadcast on Fights Academy and Youtube platforms in July this year.
