Navruz is one of the ancient holidays of the peoples of the East. It is connected with national values and traditions. It has been a tradition to organize Kurash competitions during Navruz holidays since ancient times.
These days, specialists from national federations of many countries of the world are visiting the capital of the homeland of Kurash to participate in the final practical and exam stage of the International coaching seminar.
Representatives of about 10 countries who arrived in Uzbekistan today took part in the Navruz celebration at the University of Physical Education and Sports of Uzbekistan located in Chirchik.
A demonstration of national values was held at the university holiday. Small sports competitions such as Kurash, tug-of-war, bravery game, archery were held.
Cultural programs consisting of national dishes, an exhibition of national costumes and national melodies were presented.
Rector of International Kurash Institute Khabibulla Tajiev, Head of Administration of International Kurash Association Mansur Mirzayev accompanied the guests.
Rector of the University of Physical Education and Sports of Uzbekistan, professor Rashid Matkarimov, spoke at the festive event and congratulated the participants.
He announced that he was pleased to see foreign Kurash experts in Uzbekistan.
The participants of the holiday were served sumak and osh from national dishes.
We remind you that the International seminar on Kurash will start tomorrow, April 22. The official opening ceremony of the seminar will take place at the University of Physical Education and Sports.
