The annual World Anti-Doping Agency Symposium is currently being held in Lausanne, Switzerland.
This symposium is significant because it includes the most influential figures in the World sports community, leaders of international sports organizations, and members of the International Olympic Movement.
Vice-President of the International Kurash Association, Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov, also participates in this prestigious sports event.
During these pivotal events, Mr. Khodjiniyazov held crucial discussions with AIMS President Stephan Fox and key members of the AIMS Directing Committee.
The meetings, held in a spirit of mutual friendship and cordiality, discussed important issues for the development of Kurash.
Mr. Stephan Fox, in a testament to Kurash’s growing influence, lauded its integration into the AIMS family, a continuation of the positive momentum from the meeting held in Bangkok a week ago with IKA President Mr. Haider Farman.
He expressed his readiness to support all organizational and technical membership processes.
Also, important agreements were reached regarding the official presentation of Kurash at the Sport Accord’s World Sport and Business Summit, which will be held in Birmingham, Great Britain, on April 7-11.
AIMS aims to strengthen each individual sport, share experiences, and maintain close cooperation with the International Olympic Committee (IOC). As a result, individual sports receive official recognition from the IOC. In recent years, the IOC officially recognised nine AIMS member federations.
