On March 1-3, the 1st technical meeting was held in Bangkok, Thailand, with the participation of the technical directors of the continental and International sport federations of the 6th AIMAG Program at the initiative of the Olympic Council of Asia and the Thai National Olympic Committees.
At the meeting, all technical aspects of the organization on holding the games to make it more convenient for athletes and delegations as well as possible organizational problems were discussed on the basis of specific cases.
The state of preparation of the sports grounds was studied on site. Recommendations were given based on technical and sports standards.
According to OCA Vice-President and NOC Thailand Vice-President Dato Seri Chaiyapak, the 6th AIMAG Games will be the biggest ever. Because it will be held in 36 sports, including indoor and martial arts.
Also, 2 more sports are planned to take part in the program of the games: Teqball and Airsports.
Kurash is officially included in the program of the Games, where athletes from 45 NOCs of Asia will compete for a total of 359 medals.
International Kurash Association Technical Director Ravi Kapoor also participated in this meeting as an official technical delegate.
He was accompanied by KCAO referee director, Thai Kurash Association President Pulsak Satjathamnukul, IKA referees Jakappan Naklada and Kriangkrai Promnaruritte.
According to the Games Program, about 20 sports are planned to be held in Bangkok, and an additional 16 sports are planned to be held in Chonburi province.
The Kurash matches will be held at the Nongnooch Tradition Center in Pattaya, Chonburi Province.
At the end of the technical meeting, it was agreed that the technical manual of the 6th AIMAG for all sports would be completed by March 15.
