In 2023, under the auspices of the International Kurash Association, the “Issik-Kul” International training camp was organized by the Asian Kurash Confederation and the Kyrgyz Kurash Federation.
National teams of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia took part in it.
According to statistical data, about 85% of the kurash athletes who participated in the training camp in Issyk-Kul took part in the 19th Asian Games and the 14th World Championship and won medals.
The Issyk-Kul training camp, which serves for the kurash athletes to exchange experience with each other, gain new knowledge and skills, and of course strengthen friendships, will be organized this year as well.
Based on the 2024 calendar plan of the International Kurash Association, the training camp will be held in Issyk-Kul on August 6-16.
This training camp is planned to serve as a special unique preparation for the World Kurash Championship and the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games to be held in Pattaya, Thailand.
Yesterday IKA General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri gave technical instructions and tasks to the President of the Kyrgyz Kurash Federation Mirlan Eraliev to organize training sessions at a high level.
